Join us for a night of poetry and music featuring Grace Loescher & Jordan Moore! If you are a regular to shine, you might recognize Grace as one of the co-hosts of our Wednesday night Open Mic, Speak Out Sacramento. And if you haven’t been living under a rock, you might recognize Jordan Moore from local venues such as Ruhstaller, Starlite, and Momo’s.
The two have been playing around town to promote their new album, Some Call it Holy, and will be finishing off their local tour with a bang at SHINE CAFÉ on May 19th!
Opening for Grace and Jordan will be local legend Philharmonik who was nominated for THREE sammies this year and performance poet master AndYes who just went on a West Coast tour to promote his new book, Finding Home.
But the best part? All of these artists are playing for FREE so proceeds for this show go to benefit the Sacramento Black Lives Matter Freedom School. That’s right, your cover will go to fund two weekends of FREE family education to redress the devastating impact of anti-black racism on Black students’ morale, motivation, and learning. Families will spend four full days engaging in sessions of education, health, justice, and pop-culture and will have the ability to design their own action plans for educational justice.
